o man, she's totally going to kill me
If I turn up dead and she files paperwork for the life insurance....really quickly. Please notify someone.

Yes! Souped up PWs! I know about this, but haven't done it yet. I need to buy a new battery, though. Send me your best how-to link.

Thanks for posting this. I replied to him on the forum regarding my experience owning this car out of warranty (long story short: hasn't cost a dime). This was also the first time I've ever seen his video. Sweet jesus was it funny. I almost fell out of my chair.

Hasn't cost a dime... except gas, tires, mods and track days - ha!
I just had to shell out a few hundred for a faulty low pressure fuel sensor. I've got EasyCare TotalCare, but with a $500 deductible (catastrophic coverage!).
After driving the loaner, an X1, I was more than happy to pay up to get back into my car!
My favorite part of that video was him running to catch the bus - classic.

" ... except gas, tires, mods and track days - ha! " Well, YEAH, duh. But you can't exactly tell the guy "hey you messed up buddy, this awesome car is going to cost you a small fortune because it's outrageously fun - you should sell it immediately and go back to a beigemobile!" What kind of friends would we be if we did that? NO KIND!

Also - I had two favorite parts of the video: 1) any time he scared someone, 2) under the rug "GET OUT OF THERE! - ...it hasn't been vacuumed in a year"

WAKE UP! It's time for breakfast...
His wife must just hate him. At least he gets a laugh from her here and there.

There is nothing I hate more than when people "think" they are funny. When I first started watching that video I thought you were going to fall into that category...boy was I wrong. I was genuinely cracking up! That video was full of win, especially looking at your wife's reactions (DON"T DRINK THAT....). LMFAO!

Glad you enjoyed it. But that's not me (or my wife).

I saw this on the forums too. Out of warranty will be interesting especially considering his car is an ex-track car. But my m has been the one of the most reliable cars I've owned.

Yeah, I honestly don't think I'd be willing to take on a car that had been abused like that, often by inexperienced drivers. Hopefully he doesn't have any trouble - it is a pretty robust package.

I remember reading they needed a motor rebuild ever 10,000 miles, and new suspension every 3,000. Those cars are heavily abused, I hope he got one right after a new motor was put in.
